Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30-18:30 Guaranteed Hours: 36-48 weekly Experience: 2 years License: Registered Nurse (RN) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with EKG/Cardiac Monitoring - Proficiency in respiratory assessment and support - Skill in medication titration Job Description: - Work in a teaching hospital setting within the Progressive Care Unit. - Care for adult and geriatric patient populations. - Handle common diagnoses and treatments such as ETOH detox, Post PCI, DKA/HHS, and various cardiac and GI issues. - Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, with accommodations for higher acuity at a ratio of 1:3. - Utilize Paragon (McKesson) EHR for patient documentation and management. - Meet the requirement of two weekend shifts within a two-week pay period. - Flexibility to float as required by the unit. - Wear professional attire in line with healthcare settings; specific scrub colors are not designated. - Demonstrate strong adaptability and teamwork skills to fit the unit's environment.
